I have just watched an epsiode of the programme Coast Watch and I just have to say that I was absolutely flabergasted. We witnessed Fisheries staff apprehend two guys with about three times their legal limit as well as some were undersized snapper. These fish are selling for 35 dollars a kilo. They would have 40 kilos over their limit or about $1400 over.
Now listen to this: These guys with known prior offenses were allowed to take home their legal catch (That stupid excuse for an officer had no right to do that as these fish were mine and yours as well, not just hers) and were eventually fined $250 each. They were not even fined the value of the over catch. That Judge again completely over stepped his mark as he does not have the right to give away taxpayers goods and muck over the worlds resources in this way. We pay the sod well above his or her worth anyway and then he/ she treats his/ her employers (You and me) like we are yards of ignorant pump water.
These officers are like a lot of others in society: making sure that there will be more work for them the next day. Loopy Woofters.
